The Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy is a non-profit academic organization based in Pennsylvania, USA. The organization consists of the Spectroscopic Society of Pittsburgh and the Society for Analytical Chemistry. Founded in 1950, it is the world's largest exhibition of chemical analysis instruments, scientific instruments and laboratory equipment, which is generally held in the United States every spring.
The 69th Pittcon will be held from February 26 to March 1, 2018 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, USA. The last edition (2017) saw more than 1,000 companies from around the world, with around 20% of exhibitors based in Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and the UK. More than 20,000 visitors from industry, academia or government departments from more than 88 countries around the world visited the exhibition. The exhibition covers more than 500,000 square feet, including more than 2,000 booths, 37 meeting rooms, and four special exhibition areas for new exhibitors, life sciences, Laboratory information and Green Corner.
